Sometimes and Always #4

Sometimes: I get really depressed when I think about all the bills I have to pay.

Always: I remind myself how blessed I am that I can afford to pay them.  I might be broke, but my bills are paid!

Sometimes: I plan to spend a Saturday doing absolutely nothing.

Always: I end up getting bored around lunch time and have to find somewhere to go or something to do.

Sometimes: I wish that I would have completed college when I graduated from high school like I should have, instead of slacking off.

Always: I remind myself that everything happens for a reason and that I might not be where I am today if that would have made different decisions.  My path could have led me elsewhere and I may not have my wonderful husband and baby boy by my side.

Sometimes: I really wish I knew how to deal with emotions and stress a little better.

Always: I keep it inside and end up feeling physical effects from it rather than letting out my emotions and showing them to people.  I’d just rather not burden others with my problems….which is a problem in itself.

Sometimes and Always #3

Sometimes:  I have a day that makes me just want to give up and run away.
Always:  I am reminded of how lucky I am to be blessed with a husband and a beautiful baby boy who can push those thoughts out of my head as soon as they enter.

Sometimes:  I bite off more than I can chew.
Always:  Getting it done makes me feel accomplished.  Exhausted, but accomplished.

Sometimes:  I hate going grocery shopping.
Always:  My family has to eat.

Sometimes:  My son embarrasses me in public and won’t behave.
Always:  I hear Darius Rucker in my head, “It won’t be like this for long.”

Sometimes:  I criticize myself too much in everything I do.
Always:  Someone unexpected gives me a confidence booster just when it’s needed.

Sometimes and Always #2

Sometimes:  I hit the snooze button on my alarm clock because I don’t want to get up.
Always:  I get up too late and have to rush around like a chicken with my head cut off to make it to work on time.

Sometimes:  I really enjoy cooking and baking.
Always:  I HATE to clean up the mess it makes.

Sometimes:  I like to listen to 90s music.
Always: It makes me reminisce on my childhood.

Sometimes:  I wish they would show 90s Nick at other times besides midnight when I need to be sleeping!
Always:  I DVR it and watch it with Caden.

Sometimes:  I wish I had more time to read.
Always:  I have a two year old that wants all the attention.

Sometimes:  I start things and don’t finish them.
Always:  I think about it and continue to put it off anyway!  Which reminds me, I have a few projects that I really DO need to finish lol.  Maybe this weekend.

Sometimes:  I let Caden stay up a little later than his bedtime.
Always:  He snuggles with me on the couch <3

Sometimes:  I wish I could quit my job and stay home with my baby.
Always:  I remember that I should be thankful that I even have a job at all and that I have responsibilities.  Then I suck it up and go to work.

Sometimes and Always #1

Sometimes:  I feel like I want to give up.
Always:  I remind myself what (and who) I’m doing all this for.

Sometimes:  I run, sometimes I hide.
Always: I love Britney Spears :)  I couldn’t resist.

Sometimes:  I want to pinch my husband’s head off because he makes me so frustrated.
Always:  I love him and feel blessed that God has placed him in my life.

Sometimes:  The thought of growing old scares the crap out of me.
Always:  I remind myself that everybody else is doing it…..and that at least I have a wonderful husband, family and friends to do it with.

Sometimes:  I use my sarcastic sense of humor to hide behind things that make me nervous or uncomfortable.
Always:  I use my sarcastic sense of humor to hide behind things that make me nervous or uncomfortable.

Sometimes:  I procrastinate like a #$%^@
Always:  I get it done just in time.

Sometimes:  I get hung up on the small stuff.
Always:  I remind myself, there are things that matter and things that don’t.

Sometimes:  I get impatient with my son.
Always:  I remind myself that it won’t be like this for long and that tomorrow I’ll wake up and he’ll be grown.

Sometimes:  The thought of him growing up depresses me.
Always:  I make it a point to take a million pictures of him and hug and kiss him as much as I can.  If I could hold him in my arms forever, I would.

Sometimes:  I just stare at him…
Always:  My cup runneth over.

Sometimes:  I get all sentimental and mushy.
Always:  I recover with something sarcastic to redeem myself.
